Newsletter #10

But There Is No News In This Newsletter

Waiting for the weekend like.....

Calling all Job Hoppers, Boozy Brunchers, Dating App Swipers, and those self-deprecating "millennials."

Welcome, welcome back to another edition of the Brunch Media newsletter. Thought this week's lovely intro would be the perfect time to briefly explain WTF we are doing clogging up your already newsletter clogged email inbox.  Like many of you, we go through incredible ups, downs, and textbook Instagram DM's on a DAILY basis. It's a brutal rat race out there, fam, with jobs we "kinda" like, dates we "schmooze for the sake of schmoozing" with, and a decade we  consistently tell ourselves "WTF is going on." So what do we do? We go to brunch (over bottomless mimosas) to laugh with our friends about the ridiculously awkward emoji in the Tinder reply, or brainstorm a creative spin on the same basic cover letter we already sent to 10 companies with the identical job descriptions. Bottom line: brunch validates our absurd lives. It tells us "wait, we're not the only ones going through the same BS in supposedly 'the defining decade?'" That's exactly what we're trying to create here with Brunch Media, a new approach to authentic, unfiltered, relatable stories. Now, let's eat... -- Morning Bun (of the week)

The Millennial Marriage Wait

Now, truth be told, there are still plenty of young people married and raising families, but over the years, the numbers have seen a decrease. NPR states that the average age for women to be married is 27 and 29 for men.

This Week's Dating Note:

"I started to realize that the connections I made through the dating apps weren't real...the fun part about attraction was taken away from me, in the most egotistical sense I wanted to see the attraction in person, not handed over through app." -

In case you didn't hear, last week's "DATE/ABLE" episode, the Founder of Brunch, Harrison Forman, shares his goto Emojis, a certain Facetime adventure, and what it's like dating as a millennial. This is a MUST listen and we're sharing it twice on the newsletter, because it's THAT good.
